  • Dr. Al Amin Ibrahim Al Amin, Founder and Group Chief Executive

Dr. Al Amin Ibrahim Al Amin

    Founder and Group Chief Executive

Al Amin Ibrahim Al Amin is a climate finance, ESG and sustainable development specialist working at the intersection of climate policy, finance, technology and implementation.

He holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development from the University of Abuja, with research focused on how climate finance and ESG can accelerate sustainable energy development in Nigeria. His background also includes finance and investment management, business administration and operations management, giving him a multidisciplinary perspective on the economics and implementation of climate action.

His professional journey spans climate finance, renewable energy, e-mobility, carbon markets, climate-smart agriculture, biochar project, circular economy and nature-based solutions. He has worked with governments, development programmes and private-sector stakeholders to translate climate commitments into practical, investable interventions.

He has participated in seven consecutive UNFCCC Conferences of the Parties, from COP24 in Katowice to COP30 in Belém, serving as Lead Consultant supporting Nigerian subnational governments and development programmes. These engagements have deepened his experience in climate diplomacy, adaptation and resilience, energy transition, carbon markets, climate finance and investment mobilisation.

His practical work in the energy transition includes electric mobility, EV conversion, battery and charging infrastructure, renewable energy and fleet decarbonisation. He is the present vice president of the Electric Vehicles Assemblers and Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (EVAMAN). He is equally passionate about the agriculture-climate nexus, particularly climate-smart and regenerative agriculture, soil health, agricultural waste valorisation and biochar-based carbon removal.

In 2025, he further strengthened his executive capabilities through Oxford and Cambridge executive programmes in ESG and Artificial Intelligence, expanding his interest in how AI, digital MRV, climate data and emerging technologies can improve sustainability decision-making.

He believes Africa's climate transition must go beyond commitments and conference declarations. It must generate bankable projects, investable solutions, local technologies, resilient communities and measurable impact.

He is particularly interested in connecting with climate investors, DFIs, carbon-market actors, technology providers, policymakers and project developers interested in building scalable climate solutions across Africa.

His focus is simple: turning climate ambition into bankable action, bridging finance, technology, policy and people for sustainable impact.
